Jeremie and Damaris are both children of missionaries to France. In fact, they were both born on the mission field! They have know each other for many years now. As far as Jeremie can remember, the first time he met her she must have been 5 or 6 years old. But because of their age difference they never really connected until Damaris came to the Bible Institute for her training. At that time Jeremie had already graduaded 3 years prior to that and was already teaching at the school.
The Lord led them to start a relationship in February of 2002, then the same year during the month of September they were engaged.
During a winter camp in February of 2003 the Lord clearly showed them His will for their lives concerning the ministry. The 5th of July 2003 they were joined in holy matrimony in France. Missionary Eugene Mumford (BWM) performed the ceremony. Damaris receive her diploma from the Institute in June of 2004. Then, in September they moved to the U.S. to start a new chapter of our lives.
Their goal is to go back to France as quickly as possible in order to start churches and minister to the people of their country. To reach their goal, they are working with a team to plant churches, train nationals and minister to children via camp ministries.
The Lord always sent his disciples by two, and the apostle Paul always had a group of men to help him in his missionnary journeys. Some people may think a man and his wife compose a team, but God says that a husband and his wife are one!
Many missionnaries have left the field because they were isolated and didn't receive the benedictions, the encouragement of a co-worker. Being born on the mission field is a great plus but one of our greatest blessing is to be able to work with wonderful servants of God that have been on the mission field for many years.
